Getting to Your Maldives Resort
- Arrival: every resort here meets guests at Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé.
- By speedboat: about 10 minutes to Bandos, 15 to Adaaran Prestige Vadoo, 15 to 20 to Centara Ras Fushi, 20 to Embudu Village, 25 to Baros, 45 to Sun Siyam Olhuveli and 55 to Meeru. Baros says its boats run at any time of day or night.
- By seaplane: about 25 minutes to Lily Beach, 30 to the Conrad and 40 to Komandoo. Seaplanes fly only in daylight: the Conrad's run from 6 am to 3:30 pm, and Komandoo's last one usually leaves by about 4 pm, so a late international arrival can mean a night in Malé at your own cost.
- What it costs: transfers are often extra and compulsory. Seaplane transfers, as at the Conrad, can cost several hundred dollars per adult, and shared speedboats from resorts near Malé, such as Centara Ras Fushi and Embudu Village, cost less. Adaaran Prestige Vadoo includes its speedboat. Check the resort's transfer page before booking.
- Luggage: seaplanes limit bags. Komandoo's operator allows 20 kg checked and 5 kg hand luggage per person, with a charge for extra weight.
