Honeymoon Planning Tips
- Book early: some resorts have very few overwater rooms. Maitai Polynesia in Bora Bora has 13 overwater bungalows, St. George's Caye in Belize six and Sol Bungalows in Panama four.
- Check minimum stays: Lina Point in Belize asks for two nights, and Palafitos (adults only) has a honeymoon and anniversary package with a five-night minimum.
- Choose adults only if it matters: Adaaran Prestige Vadoo, Komandoo, Centara Ras Fushi (18+), Palafitos (adults only, 18+), Nayara (16+) and Royalton CHIC Antigua take no children, and Kuredu's Sangu Water Villas and Fiji Marriott Momi Bay's over-water bures are kept for older guests.
- Mind the seaplane: Maldives seaplanes fly only in daylight, so a late arrival in Malé can mean a night in town. Baros, Adaaran Prestige Vadoo and other speedboat resorts avoid that.
- Pick your season: French Polynesia's dry season is May to October, the Maldives' high season November to April, and Fiji's wet season December to April. The Caribbean's hurricane season runs from June to November.
